The Redtail (Crosshatch) Trigger has a blue-gray body with a fine crosshatch pattern and a red tail. Males have more yellow on the face and a brighter red tail.
Why We're Obsessed
The Redtail is one of the few triggers that can work in a reef, and it's a beautiful, open-water swimmer.
Care: Reef safe with caution (may pick at small crustaceans). Peaceful for a trigger. Feed mysis, krill, and pellets. Max size about 12". Minimum tank size: 125 gallons.
