Scientific Name: Hymenocera picta
The Harlequin Shrimp is a small shrimp with a white body covered in pink-purple or blue spots, and large, flat, petal-like claws.
Why We're Obsessed
Harlequins are one of the most beautiful shrimp in the ocean. They're also famous for eating Asterina starfish, a common reef pest.
Care: Reef safe with corals, but it eats only starfish. Plan on feeding small starfish (Asterina or chocolate chip star legs) regularly. Best kept singly or as a pair.
