The Coral (Mesothorax) Hogfish has a red-brown front half, a dark diagonal band, and a yellow back half. Juveniles are black with yellow spots.

A colorful hogfish that's hardy and full of personality. Great for a FOWLR or a reef without small inverts.
Care: Safe with corals but will eat shrimp, crabs, and snails. Semi-aggressive. Feed mysis, krill, and pellets. Max size about 8". Minimum tank size: 100 gallons.
