Desjardini Sailfin Tang

Scientific Name: Zebrasoma desjardinii

The Desjardini (Red Sea) Sailfin Tang is a large, dramatic tang with vertical bars, a spotted face, and enormous sail-like fins that it flares when displaying. A classic showpiece for big reef tanks.

Care: Reef safe and a great algae grazer. Semi-aggressive toward other tangs, especially similar shapes. Feed nori and seaweed daily plus frozen and pellet foods. Needs lots of swimming room. Max size about 15". Minimum tank size: 125 gallons.
