Long Tentacle Anemone

Scientific Name: Macrodactyla doreensis

The Long Tentacle Anemone (LTA) has long, wavy tentacles and buries its foot in the sand. It comes in many colors.

Why We're Obsessed

LTAs are one of the most beautiful anemones, and they host many clownfish. A big one swaying in the sand is incredible.

Care: Needs a deep sand bed (its foot buries in sand) and a stable, established tank. Moderate to high light. Feed small meaty foods weekly. Can sting nearby corals.
