Scientific Name: Meiacanthus atrodorsalis
The Yellowtail (Forktail) Fang Blenny has a blue-gray front half that fades into a bright yellow back half and tail. It swims in the open instead of perching like most blennies.
Why We're Obsessed
Fang blennies are underrated reef fish: colorful, active, and always out in the open. The two-tone color on this one is clean and eye-catching.
Care: Reef safe and peaceful. Has a mildly venomous bite for defense, so predators leave it alone, but it won't bother tankmates. Eats mysis, brine, and pellets. Max size about 4". Minimum tank size: 30 gallons.
