Sohal Tang
$299.99
Scientific Name: Acanthurus sohal
The Sohal Tang is a Red Sea surgeonfish with bold black horizontal stripes over white, an orange patch at the base of the tail, and long trailing tips on its tail fin.
Why We're Obsessed
Few fish have the attitude of a Sohal. It patrols the tank like it owns the place, and the striped pattern is clean and sharp. For a big tank with the right tankmates, it's a classic Red Sea showpiece.
Care: Reef safe but very aggressive toward other tangs and similar fish; add it last in a large system. Feed nori and seaweed daily plus frozen and pellet foods. Max size about 16". Minimum tank size: 250+ gallons.
