Scientific Name: Centropyge shepardi
Shepard's Angelfish is a bright orange dwarf angel with thin dark vertical bars and blue-edged fins, native to the Mariana Islands and nearby Pacific reefs.
Why We're Obsessed
Shepardi is one of those dwarf angels you just don't see on regular stock lists. It's got the same punchy color as a Flame but with a totally different look from those fine bars. Seriously underrated, and the kind of fish that separates a collector's tank from everyone else's.
Care: Reef safe with caution (may nip LPS and clams). Semi-aggressive toward other dwarf angels. Graze-friendly rockwork plus mysis, sponge foods, and pellets. Max size about 4". Minimum tank size: 55 gallons.
