Scurple Tang (Scopas x Purple Tang) – Surge Marine Life (Captive-Bred)

Zebrasoma xanthurum x Zebrasoma scopas

Origin: Captive-bred in Florida by Surge Marine Life, the hatchery that produced the first Scopas x Purple Tang hybrids. These two tangs never meet in the wild, so this cross exists only through aquaculture. Each fish has its own shimmering purple-and-gold pattern that develops further as it matures.

Captive-bred tangs are raised on prepared foods and come from a closed, biosecure hatchery, making them hardier and easier to acclimate than wild-caught tangs. Reef safe.
