Rainford’s Goby

Scientific Name: Amblygobius rainfordi

Rainford's Goby (also called the Court Jester or Old Glory Goby) is a small goby with green-gold and orange-red stripes edged in blue, and dark eyespots on the fins.

Why We're Obsessed

It's one of the most colorful small gobies, and it grazes on film algae and sifts small amounts of sand. Pretty and useful.

Care: Peaceful and reef safe. Best in a mature tank with plenty of rock and film algae to graze, plus small frozen foods. Keep a lid. Max size about 2.5". Minimum tank size: 30 gallons.
