A juvenile Emperor Angelfish: dark navy blue with bright white and electric-blue concentric circles. As it matures, it changes into the adult pattern of yellow and blue stripes with a black mask.

Raising a juvenile Emperor and watching it transform into an adult is one of the most rewarding things in the hobby. Both looks are incredible.
Care: Reef safe with caution (likely to nip LPS, softies, and clams as it grows). Semi-aggressive toward other angels. Feed sponge-based foods, mysis, and seaweed. Max size about 15". Minimum tank size: 180 gallons.
