Divided Leopard Wrasse

Scientific Name: Macropharyngodon bipartitus

Also known as the Vermiculate, Blue Star or Splendid Leopard Wrasse. A small Indian Ocean wrasse with intricate blue and orange patterning that keeps changing as it matures.

Why We're Obsessed

Bipartitus doesn't come in often, and the patterning on these is something else up close. They take a little more care than most wrasses, but a settled one in a mature tank is one of the prettiest small fish you can keep.

Size: Small to Small-Medium.

Care: Reef safe. Needs a mature tank with lots of copepods, a fine sand bed to sleep in, and a tight lid. Feed small foods several times a day. Best added before larger or more active fish. Max size about 5". Minimum tank size: 75 gallons.
