Scientific Name: Acanthurus triostegus
The Convict Tang is a pale green-white tang with five thin black vertical bars, like a striped uniform.
Why We're Obsessed
Convicts are one of the most peaceful tangs, and they're often kept in groups the way you see them on the reef. A small school cruising together looks awesome in a big tank.
Care: Reef safe and peaceful for a tang. Feed nori and seaweed daily plus frozen and pellet foods. Max size about 10". Minimum tank size: 125 gallons.
