Scientific Name: Lysmata wurdemanni
The Peppermint Shrimp is a small, semi-transparent shrimp with thin red stripes, like a peppermint candy.
Why We're Obsessed
Peppermints are famous for eating aiptasia, one of the most annoying reef pests. A must-have for a lot of tanks.
Care: Reef safe. Peaceful; does well in groups. Scavenges leftover food. Avoid fish that eat small shrimp. Size about 1.5–2".
